Transportation and storage conditions will affect microscope slide quality. Typical shelf life for white glass microscope slides is 2 years with good transportation and storage conditions.

  •  Store in a dry location at a consistent temperature. Temperature variations and humidity create condensation, which can cause sticking of the slides.
  •  Do not store near solvents as this can affect the slide surface.
  •  Slides should be allowed to reach room temperature prior to use.
  •  Rotate stock to use oldest slides first as white glass is subject to an aging process.
